Can see areas where I need to develop

I enjoyed the real Tech Edit yesterday

I'm having so much fun!

An introduction to Knitting Pattern Editing (known in the biz as Tech Editing)
Learn how to tech edit knitting patterns so you can turn your knitting knowledge into a profitable business.
Here are three questions I often get asked....
Hi, Carol. I know you're very busy, but I just wanted to reach out and let you know how much I have enjoyed the course and how much hope it has given me in my current day job in the court's criminal justice sector.
I am constantly surrounded by negativity and evilness, quite frankly, I've been looking for a way out for years but nothing really called to me until now. Knitting has always been an escape for me to potentially be able to leave the stress and the psychological damage of the courts behind and take a leap into the knitting industry is so exciting yet terrifying.
At the same time, you are not only teaching skills. You're also giving people a chance for much-needed change and an opportunity for independence. Thank you.
Experienced Tech Editor & Trainer
I have over 12 years experience as a tech editor working for indie designers, magazines, yarn companies and book publishers. I love passing on my knowledge to other knitting and crochet enthusiasts and helping them set up their own businesses as tech editors via Cool Wool School ®
The live sessions are all happening within Zoom and inside our pop-up Facebook group. You also have access to a training portal with all the resources used on the workshop
Each Zoom session is up to 1 hour long and the replays are accessible from the workshop portal if you cannot make the live sessions.
Absolutely not! Although we would love to meet you on the live sessions, they can all be watched later at your own convenience via replays.
However, we would love you to participate in the Facebook group so that you can connect with other students and with Carol and the Cool Wool team.
Absolutely! I'll be available within the pop-up Facebook group to answer any questions you have throughout the workshop. I'll also be hosting a few Q&A sessions!
Totally! This workshop is designed for those looking to start their business, and that's because you need to get the basics under your belt first.
This is an introductory workshop to see whether tech editing is something you enjoy and have an aptitude for.
A further in-depth course with assessments testing many areas of knitting tech editing will be available after the workshop to enable you to become confident in your abilities and create a profitable business as a tech editor .
It opened my eyes to what tech editing really is. I always tought it was all about maths, but it's much more and so interesting!

Read MoreThis short course has given me so much insight and confidence in just a few short days. Carol is an excellent teacher and both her and Paula are incredibly motivating and empowering. They want you to succeed and they show it every day. I've come away even more eager to learn more and start tech editing, and I even feel confident about tech editing small, simple patterns straight away! Absolutely well worth it, even if, like me, you're pretty sure you want to do the full course anyway. Do the introduction course whether you're sure about the full one or not. You won't regret it!
